My Sheep Hear My Voice

The adventures which God has provided me, coupled with the boldness and strength to move with him, were very rewarding and exhilarating to say the least. Following God through active hearing from him is truly walking in the Spirit and not the flesh. How can we claim that we worship a true God and yet in reality we live a life without any ability to hear from him? If God is our shepherd and we never receive any instruction and command from him, then we are not glorifying the true living God. We are not different than worshipping dead idols and graven images when we cannot hear from God.

If we claim He is alive and He does not speak to his people, then our claims are not real. This book testifies to all the people of the world that God speaks to his people, and not just one way but in at least 14 ways. These ways are not for the special exclusive group of people, it is for all his children and those who bother to take the time to listen to his reply when He speaks. I have done it and everyone who seeks will find as well.

When instructions given by God to me were actually obeyed and executed, the results were true and reliable. In short, I have taken his instructions as he spoke to me and carried them out in my life and found success each time I obeyed his leading.

I have done it and I have plugged my spiritual telephone line connection to the throne of God; that is why I bothered to write a book about this. It is my 10 years of communion with the Lord, God, and I am testifying for him. God is alive, and he talks to me, and he wants to talk to you. If you can believe and spend time to listen, you shall surely hear his voice. And I know you will because Jesus says, "ask and you shall be given and seek you shall find and knock; the door will be opened."

Luke 11:10,

“For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened. Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead? Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? “Blessed is the man who listens to me, watching daily at my doors, waiting at my doorway. For whoever finds me finds life and receives favor from the lord.”

This book shows that God will speak to us in the following ways:

God speaks through His prophet and messengers.
God speaks through dreams of the night.
God speaks through the still quiet voice in our spirits.
God speaks by prompting us in our hearts.
God speaks audibly in a loud voice to our spirits.
God speaks through vision, or pictures in our minds.
God speaks through the peace in our hearts.
God speaks to us through physical events, omens and signs.
God speaks to us through physical objects and words that are in the streets

If you think that I receive this gift suddenly, then you are very wrong. The first time when I tried to speak to God and waited for His reply, I received only dead silence. Upon fervent prayers, when I asked him how to hear from him, He brought me to my sister’s house. And in her living room, I saw a book with the title “You can hear the Voice of God”. Immediately I knew it was no coincidence and God had spoken to me through this book. It was not immediately evident to me how to speak to God, but slowly, I decided to try and practise.

You may wonder what it was that motivated me to want to hear his voice. I had 5 crises in the year 1997. Five crises that happened to me within a month left my entire life in turmoil. As I had no way out and no one to help me, my only choice was towards the supernatural, I needed a miracle in short. My earlier experience with Christianity naturally made me seek Jesus as a first choice and I am very glad that he responded.

Initially, I was afraid that I could be following after imaginary suggestions. But after much consistent testing, I was surprised that God had actually instructed me on what I should do and every move was the best move in that situation. I have never looked back ever since. I found God and he spoke to me. God also gave me confirmations through scriptures that he was the one who spoke to me. This gave me peace and assurance. He is a good God, and we should not fear that we will hear a different voice.

I was elated, surprised and very excited about this find. I immediate borrowed the book from my sister and kept practising the 7 ways written in the book. And through time I discovered He speaks to me in 14 ways. I was told that God only speaks to us via the bible verses and we are not to hear other voices.

This is so wrong and limited. Now supposing I need to consult God on a matter during as board meeting, there is no way for me to open the bible and start seeking him at that moment. It would be awkward and impractical. Then, I read that God can do anything even impossible things and That is when I learn that God can speak to me in any way He chooses. I am very glad I am able to hear God outside the bible

God says,

John 10:27, “My sheep hears my voice; I know them and they follow me.”

John 10:3 – 5 “The watchman opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and the sheep follow him because they know his voice. But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger’s voice.”

Now take a moment to reflect on how you can recognize your father’s voice when he calls you on the phone. What is it about the voice that makes you recognize that it is your real father on the other line? First, it was the tone of his voice, and second it is the way he uses certain words, and third, it is the way he speaks and his unique speech, fourth, it was the historical relationship with him that he can use certain events to jolt your memories. All these combined together, give you an idea that it is truly your father who is speaking to you.

Similarly, I am teaching you how God your Spiritual Father will also speak to you and instruct you in the way you should go.

Matthew 4:4

Jesus answered, “It is written: “Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.””

You see, the scripture says every word that comes from the mouth of God. I am not saying the bible is no good. I am saying what it says, and tells us what to do. It says every word that comes from the mouth of God. It uses the present tense and shows that God still speaks to us.

The bible tells us about God and I am saying don’t just read the bible, talk to God and go to him and ask him things, because He holds the past present and future of our lives in his hand. He is the ultimate know it all, and only He knows the future truly, and He is the only trustworthy being who will not change or lie. He is absolutely and completely trustworthy and faithful. He has plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Whatever he says, that he will do.

Ever since I started to speak to God and God replies my questions, I begin to have more peace and less worries. He is indeed my refuge and my strength. Whenever I do things according to his instructions and commands, no one can stand between me and the goal since God has already sanctioned my request.

If you cannot get any anointing or promise from God, at least you should try to speak to God and let God speak to you. I am the living proof that God speaks to his children. He is a living and true God and he wants to speak to you. He is not distant nor is he a shy God. He wants to talk to us, are we ready to listen to him? I have been commissioned to write this book; surely he who has commissioned me will honor his words and speak to those who believe.

If you cannot believe this, then you have made God out to be a liar. And God is no liar nor can he lie. He wants to speak to you and have communion with you. Are you willing to take some time to try to speak to him? Now that He has given you a way to show you how to speak to him will you not try?

Don’t miss the opportunity to talk to the Almighty God who holds your future and rewards in his hands. He is the author of your life and you should seek him on what to do, how to do, when to do, who to do with, and why you should do the things you do.

Isaiah 32:3

“Then the eyes of those who see will no longer be closed, and the ears of those who hear will listen. Then the mind of the rash will know and understand, and the stammering tongue will be fluent and clear.”

May God speak into your hearts, to open them, so that he can speak unto you as you seek to hear from him and do His will. Let God grant you the ability and talent to be sensitive to his voice, as he speaks to you in one or more of the ways spoken in this book. Let your ears and eyes be opened as you seek to hear from him. May he cause you to hear, and see, what goodness he has prepared for those who seek him. Finding him is finding an eternal treasure, for if God is for you, who can be against you.
